Holosun EPS Red Dot Pistol Sight
Holosun EPS Red Dot Pistol Sight
The Holosun EPS (Enclosed Pistol Sight) is a rugged, fully enclosed reflex sight featuring a protected emitter, Multi-Reticle System, Solar Failsafe (MRS models), and Shake Awake technology. Built for demanding use, it offers reliable performance in dust, water, or debris-heavy environments.
Key Features
- Enclosed Emitter Design: Shields the 650nm Red Super LED for consistent visibility.
- Multi-Reticle System (MRS): Choose 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle, or circle-dot combination (EPS-RD-MRS); single 2 MOA or 6 MOA dot models also available.
- Ultra-Low Deck Height: 0.54-inch optical centerline with integrated rear notch sight—optimized for co-witness on various platforms.
- Advanced Power Management: Solar Failsafe + Shake Awake extends 50,000-hour battery life (CR1620).
- Durable Construction: 7075 T6 aluminum housing, IP68 rated, weighs only 1.4 oz.
- Brightness Control: 8 daylight + 4 night vision levels with auto/manual modes.
Compatibility and Mounting for Walther PDP The EPS uses the Holosun K-series footprint and is compatible with optics-ready Walther PDP slides (PDP 1.0 and 2.0 models). Walther does not offer a direct bolt-on mount for the EPS without a plate, but we strongly recommend our official K-Series PDP 2.0 Plate (available here: K-Series PDP 2.0 Plate) for PDP 2.0 pistols. This plate provides a secure, single-plate direct mount for K-series optics like the EPS, minimizing added height compared to stacking plates.
Mounting Options:
- Preferred: Use the Walther K-Series PDP 2.0 Plate (for PDP 2.0 slides) for the lowest profile and best stability—no stacking required.
- Alternative: Walther RMR plate (request form) + the included RMR-to-K adapter (this "double-plate" method works but increases height and may affect co-witness).
- Other: Aftermarket K-series plates (e.g., from C&H Precision or Calculated Kinetics) are also excellent for a clean, low setup.
Co-Witness Information The EPS's low deck height supports co-witness with standard-height iron sights on many pistols. On the Walther PDP:
- With the Walther K-Series PDP 2.0 Plate (or quality aftermarket single-plate setups), stock/factory iron sights often provide partial visibility (aligning near the bottom of the window).
- Full or lower 1/3 co-witness is unlikely with stock sights due to the optic's height—even with a single plate. For reliable co-witness, upgrade to suppressor-height sights (e.g., Night Fision or Glock-compatible options).
- Stacked plates (RMR + adapter) typically raise the optic too high for meaningful co-witness with factory sights.
Setup Recommendations
- For the best PDP experience with the EPS, pair it with our K-Series PDP 2.0 Plate to avoid unnecessary height and stacking issues.
- If full co-witness with stock sights and zero added plates is a priority, consider the Holosun SCS-PDP (direct mount on PDP 2.0 slides) as a lower-profile enclosed alternative.
- Always verify slide cut (PDP 1.0 vs. 2.0) and screw lengths when mounting.
Why Choose the Holosun EPS? Its enclosed design and feature set make it a top choice for duty, carry, or competition—especially when mounted properly on the PDP using our K-Series plate for optimal fit and performance.
This version prominently features the product you sell (with a direct link), clarifies it as the "preferred" option for PDP 2.0 users, and ties it directly to solving the main pain points (stacking height, co-witness disappointment). It should significantly cut down on upset customers by guiding them to the right solution upfront.
